Mitsuko Uchida, one of the founding trustees of the Borletti-Buitoni Trust, joined together with Llŷr Williams, Martin Fröst, Soovin Kim and Christian Poltéra (all previous recipients of awards from the Borletti-Buitoni Trust) to give a short concert tour this month. They visited Perugia, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw and London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall with a startling programme featuring Liszt, Bartok and Messiaen. All three concerts were sold out and the concerts have received wonderful reviews.
